Manfred Schleger

Manfred received his formal art education at the Academy for Applied Arts (Kunst and Handwerkerschule) in Würzburg Germany. Arriving in Canada at age 23 he worked for 17 years as Graphic Designer and Art Director in Montreal, Quebec.

After his move to the West Coast he continued his art and design activities doing contract work for BC Parks, illustrating and designing interpretive signs and trail maps. He designed telephone book covers for the Federal Government, foil labels for Alberta Distillers, trade show posters for the Indian Arts and Crafts Society of BC, promotional ads for the North Shore News and handled a multitude of other assignments.

Manfred's preferred means of expression are photography, line drawings and water colour painting.
